剧情：
证券行高级经理麦窦（陈小春饰），年轻有为、恃才傲物。他本过着奢华又嚣张的上层生活，然而如此“成功”的生活就在这一天改变了。一日，麦窦像往常一样去中环上班，一名陌生男子走上前向他讨20元过海返工，可是麦窦头也不回地闪身避开。这瞬间的拒绝动作给他带了接踵而至的噩运，麦窦的不幸旅程由此开始。先是被老板无情炒鱿鱼，再是新工作的老板要求他必须在下午五点钟前过海面谈。然而麦窦刚出公司就被洗劫一空，身无分文的麦窦居然还遭遇一顿痛打。初尝世间百味的麦窦，到底能否如期在五点钟前到达面试地点呢？
